In 1916, the French military began experimenting with copying and upgrading the German GM15 gas mask. In January 1917, the upgraded MCG was adopted as the ARS, but issues with supplying made it so that the mask started to be delivered to the army only in February 1918. It would continue to see service in the French army even after the First World War with over 5,270,000 examples being produced. The ARS was carried in a metal can, similar to those used by the Germans.

Reviews
Beyond satisfied. The minifigure goes great with my other French soldiers, and the ARS mask just stands out. My purpose for buying this was to add it to my army, which features German, French, British, and Russian First World War soldiers.
This figure is an incredible depiction of a WW1 French gas mask soldier, its historically accurate details mean that it will fit in seemlessly with the other gas mask soldiers. Making it the perfect edition to your collection. It also goes well with the other French soldier on the UB website, helping to add further diversity to any collections. Furthermore its detail means that it is good for MOCs, ensuring a well rounded product.
Thank you UB for another amazing product!
